DON FAIRBAIRN is a Saskatchewan photographer with a special interest in landscape and nature photography. He has been involved with photography for over 40 years and worked in a commercial studio for a short time. Don has taken many workshops and courses to broaden his photographic knowledge and strengthen his skills - including a summer spent at the Banff Centre School of Fine Arts. He has participated in many group shows and is currently an active member of the Regina Photo Club and the Last Mountain Artists' Collective.

Commitment to photography, including learning new methods and skills, continues to be a major part of Don's life. Over the past 10 years, he has gradually moved away from the darkroom and now does all his photography using digital media. His knowledge of digital photography has been greatly enhanced through participation in courses offered by the Regina Photo Club and SIAST.  In addition to selling his own original artwork, he also does documentation for other artists, restoration of old photographs and some framing.  He has participated in many group shows and is currently a member of the Canadian Association for Photographic Arts, the Prairie Region of Photographic Arts, the Last Mountain Artists' Collective and is the past President of the Regina Photo Club.

Don and his wife, Pat, along with their dog Abbey, reside at Saskatchewan Beach on Last Mountain Lake.
